Qualified applicants will work directly with Head Coach to maintain a competitive and supportive environment for young athletes. We have experienced both a resurgence of talent from within, as well as without over recent months, and are actively pursuing a Coach to help us to further develop our athletes. We are looking for a dedicated and determined individual to take our younger age athletes, between 6-10 years of age, and get them ready for the next steps in their competitive swimming career. We have had a great amount of success over the past season at our Mark Twain location, and are looking to further that through the hiring of a new coach to be lead on two of our groups. The applicant would be working approximately 12 hours a week on deck - about 2 and a half hours per evening across different groups. Applicant must have competitive coaching experience and be willing to work weeknights and meets on occasional weekends. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of stroke technique and mechanics, appropriate developmental processes, and endurance training. The job will entail leading and assisting groups, collaborating with head coach, writing workouts, attending USA swimming meets, and communicating effectively with parents.
