2009 National Junior Team
Sara Giberson and Lia Neal, of the Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics Club,
Thomas Luchsinger, of the Three Village Swim Club,
Emily Kelly, of the Long Island Aquatic Club,
and Ryan Feeley, of the badger Swim Club,
made the 2009 National Junior Team that will compete
at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships, in Guam, January 8-11, 2009
Congratulations to Sara and Lia and their coach Brian Brown,
to Tommy and his coach Barry Roffer,
to Emily and her coach Dave Ferris,
and to Ryan Feeley and his coach John Collins


Julia Smit, a Junior at Stanford University and a former TVSC Swimmer,
broke the short-course World Record in the women's 400-meter individual medley
Friday at the Canada Cup in Toronto, Canada.
Julia's time of 4:25.87 broke the previous record of 4:26.52 set in September
by Kristy Coventry of Zimbabwe
Julia also set the American short-course Record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.49

USA Swimming World Junior Team
Congratulations to Thomas Luchsinger of the Three Village Swim Club.
Thomas was named to the World Junior Team after his swim in the 200 fly at the Olympic Trials.
Thomas is now in Monterey, Mexico, representing his club and the USA in the 200 butterfly


Swimmers Qualify for Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing, China
TVSC swimmer Philip Scholz, an American Records holder, qualified for the
2008 U.S. Paralympic Team that will compete at the Paralympic Games in Beijing, China
The TVSC and Loyola College swimmer is one of 38 swimmers (20 male, 18 female)
selected to represent the United States at the Paralympic Games.
Congratulations also to Julia Smit, former Three Village Swim Club
and Standford University swimmer, for making the Olympic Team
and again,congratulations to all the METRO Swimmers that qualified
and competed at the 2008 Olympic Trials in Omaha Nebraska
